The Story Behind Most Loved Co: A Journey of Love, Purpose, and Giving Back

Most Loved Co officially kicked off in 2018, but the seeds were planted a couple of years earlier, in 2016, when I returned from Costa Rica with a wild idea and a heart full of dreams. I’d just started a coffee scrub company—simple in concept, but a logistical rollercoaster. The plan was to source coffee beans from a small family grower in Costa Rica (picture a guy delivering bags on his quad from the top of a hill!), mix them into scrubs in California, and sell them in the U.S. My big “why”? To make enough money to give back to a tiny Costa Rican community by providing safe drinking water. I dreamed of expanding into a full beauty line, partnering with small family businesses across the globe. But the reality of jetting back and forth for supplies? Way harder than I’d imagined.

Fast forward to 2018—I was in the thick of my yoga teacher training at Mount Madonna, diving deep into self-discovery. I was seeking meaning, wrestling with faith, and exploring Buddhism and Christianity to find a God that resonated with me. At the same time, I was dating a guy who ran a screen-printing gig with a brand called Most Hated. One night, as I was shedding old habits and learning to love myself, we had a lightbulb moment. “Most Hated? That’s not the vibe,” I said. “Let’s flip it—print me some Most Loved yoga tank tops!” I wanted to sell them in the yoga community with a mission: comfy clothes that spread love and gave back. As winter rolled in, we added hoodies—cute, cozy, and tied to a purpose.

Over the last seven years, Most Loved Co has evolved in ways I never expected. Early on, I shifted to sustainability, printing on Allmade garments—think organic cotton, recycled water bottles, and fair wages for workers in Haiti. The clothes weren’t just eco-friendly; they were soft, durable, and the kind you’d live in. As my faith grew into Christianity, I started weaving scripture into the designs, turning it into a Christian brand with a story. We’ve popped up at vendor events and landed in a few coastal stores, slowly building a community around it.

Along the way, I’ve had chances to live out the giving-back mission in real time. In Cuba, I handed out Most Loved shirts on the streets, sharing a little love with strangers. In Belize, during a medical mission trip, I gave shirts to women who cooked for us—grateful for their warmth and hard work. There, I also teamed up with a local whose wife sewed garments; we printed a collaboration shirt with the Belize flag, blending our stories into something special. And when wildfires hit Maui, I sent shirts and tank tops to help however I could, hoping to offer comfort in a tough time. Those moments fueled my drive to keep going.

The dream of giving back never faded—supplying clean water to third-world countries is still my big, audacious goal. But I hadn’t found the right nonprofit to partner with until recently. After praying about it, we teamed up with two local gems: Beehold His Blessings and Can’t Stop. Won’t Stop. Foundation. I’m thrilled to see where this journey takes Most Loved Co next—new designs, new dreams, and a mission that’s all about love, faith, and making a difference, one cozy hoodie at a time.
